LESLEY CURNOW

If you find yourself on this page, you've probably come from Amazon, or Mobipocket, or Smashwords, or I've handed you my card when we've met. So here's a bit about me and my writing.

The Potted Bio

I was born in Hong Kong but moved to New Zealand with my family when I was eight. I lived, wrote, taught and brought up my three children there.

When I was 47 I met my partner, Peter, online. Since then we've wandered the world together, spending summer in our cabin in the bush on the Hokianga harbour and another summer on our canal boat on the Kennet and Avon canal in England. It's a tough life, but someones gotta do it.

Writing

I've written two novels, published short stories in various anthologies, won some short story competitions, got to the semi-finals of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards and completed an advanced diploma in writing.

I have just published my second novel "Things We Can't Untie" with Printmouse Publications.

The print version of the book is available from Amazon.com.

Downloadable Versions for ebook, computer and phones on Smashwords and Mobipocket.

I've written about the struggle to publish on my Wordpress blog Publish or be Damned.

Book Launch

These are exciting times for me - "Things We Can't Untie" is ready for the world! If you are in Kohukohu on December 19th please come for my book launch at Louisa's gallery. I'll be talking about writing the book, reading a few excerpts and we'll have something to eat and a good chat. I'd like to thank Louisa Geddes for graciously offering the use of her Gallery for the book launch. Details follow:
